This Is Why I'm Not A Star Trek Fan

Worst. Fight. Ever.

Light Bright Mooninite Bombs - Oh Noez!1!11!!!

So, extremely compact LCD boards with batteries placed in very visible locations in 10 cities for weeks were suddenly mistaken for bombs? It's great to know that the Department of Homeland Security and local police departments don't notice or care about potentially dangerous objects spread across a city for weeks; when they finally take action, no one can figure out if the item is a bomb or not.

I'm pretty sure that 10 years ago, this would've been ignored or laughable, but in "post 9/11" America things are certainly more interesting...

Here are some YouTube videos of the campaign in action:

The Human NES Hero-Controller

This is a pretty cool video from a Carnegie Mellon University Building Virtual Worlds show. It uses Playmotion sensor technology to allow a human to control events in a game. Enjoy!

Turn Web Browsing Into "World" Creation

This is a pretty cool app that monitors your internet activity and creates a virtual world based on traffic and web sites visited. Enjoy!

House Pictures

Here are some pictures of my new house - there's even a "Congratulations - Purchased" sign in the front! It should be complete around mid-February. Hopefully everything goes fine until then.

Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a great 2006 and I wish everyone success and happiness in 2007!

Here's a cool little gem I found using Google's Patent Search feature, it's a patent given to Michael Jackson to the technology and methods he used to create the "extreme lean" effect in the "Smooth Criminal" video and stage performances.

Phone Uploader

I really don't like to pay for stuff - especially simple stuff. It's fun to put a cool wallpaper, ringtone, or Java app on your phone, but I must admit that everytime I see these "Text STUPID1 for Stupid Song Title Here, text STUPID2 for..." commercials I cringe. I think I react this way for two reasons:

1. These commercials are extremely lame.
2. People actually pay to use this.

Here's a great website that allows you to upload assets to your cell phone for free!
